About
The business our clients invented
Ascend started as a web design business. Our clients had other ideas.
Fifteen years ago, Ascend Web Design did exactly what the name says. Then a client's email broke, and they called us — because we were the only technical people they trusted. Then a server died. Then a website got hacked. Then someone needed a new workstation, a backup system, a network that reached the back shed.
Somewhere along the way Ascend stopped being a web design business that helped with IT, and became a technology business that was still introducing itself as a web designer. Ascend Technology fixes the introduction. The work is what it has always been: the practical technology problems that stop a small business operating, handled by one person you trust instead of five suppliers you chase.
You'll deal with Marcus Anderson — the same person who answers the phone, does the work and carries the responsibility. No account managers, no ticket queues, no "let me escalate that." That's not a limitation of a small business; at this scale, it's the advantage.
What we believe
- Honesty over breadth. We don't sell penetration testing, enterprise compliance or 24/7 monitoring — and we say so, then refer you to specialists who do.
- No lock-in contracts. Clients have stayed for over a decade. None of them are contractually required to.
- Plain English. If an explanation needs jargon, it isn't finished yet.
- The boring things matter most. Tested backups, patched systems and documented passwords prevent more disasters than any product we could sell you.
The family
Ascend Technology Group is the parent brand — IT support, email, hosting, backups and business technology. Ascend Web Design is our custom website and SEO division, where it all started. Swift Websites builds fast, fixed-price websites for trades and small businesses. Three front doors, one workshop behind them.
